Bill Sizemore’s organizations have been found in court to have engaged in fraud, forgery, and racketeering. He’s currently under indictment by the Department of Justice for tax evasion. Sizemore has been repeatedly caught using phony charities to hide and move his political funds.
In December 2008, he was sent to jail for not filing tax returns for his sham charity, despite repeated warnings by the county court.
Sizemore has brought these same anti-union measures to the ballot many times in the past decade and a half. The latest was Measure 64 in 2008, which was defeated by less than 1 percent of the vote.
Nationwide, it’s part of a right-wing agenda to increase the power of corporations and the rich. By taking away the political power of working people, wealthy donors and corporations will have unchecked control over state legislatures and congress.
